Have You Outgrown Current Ways of Working?

Oct 30, 2026

You get home after work and are wiped out. Don't have an ounce of energy for your family, friends or yourself. You want to just sit on the couch and check out.

That day turns into another day, another week, another quarter. Now we're at the end of the year and you've done so much work but don't sense progress. Like you have been chasing and 'cleaning up' all year long. It's like you can never catch up. This isn't strategy this is reaction mode. Overtime these repetitive actions put you in a survivorship state...burnout.

What's feeding it? The push to adapt and do all the things without adjusting what's on the plate. The new change initiative trying to move the team into the future or work while keeping old ways of working environments. It's misaligned, a mismatch and draining the team energy.

3 signs your organization has outgrown a current way of working:

  • You're constantly putting out fires. The same problems keep coming back, so you add another process, meeting, or rework-workaround. Everyone is busy fixing things, but nobody has time to ask why they keep happening.
  • Every change feels like one more thing. People are already stretched, priorities keep shifting, and the answer is to add more hours, another body. It's not always resistance to change. Sometimes the way you're approaching change is part of the problem.
  • You're expecting today's workforce to work within yesterday's systems. The demands have changed, the workforce has changed, and the business landscape has changed. But the expectations, habits, and ways of working haven't caught up. You're asking teams to adapt in old ways of working environments.

If you feel that drag day-after-day then it's time for a new map...one not created yet. I'm bringing the most requested program, SHIFT THE MAP, to Appleton, Wisconsin this upcoming January. Message me on website to be notified once registration opens: Contact Me Page

Come solo or come with your team...leave with a refreshed and revived view of a workforce and operational strategy that builds to what's next.

The map that got us here isn't going to be the map that gets us where we are going.
